WarrantyBox ("we," "our," "us," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

- Warranty and receipt information (product details, purchase dates, warranty end dates, store names, item names, amounts, and notes)
- Photos and documents you upload
- Preferred currency and other user preferences
Automatically Collected Information
When you use our app, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Push notification tokens (for warranty expiration alerts)
- Device information (device type, operating system)
- Usage data (features used, time spent in app)
- Log data (access times, app errors)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Authenticate and manage your account
- Store and organize your warranty and receipt information
- Send you notifications about warranty expirations
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security concerns
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
3. App Permissions
WarrantyBox requires the following permissions:
- Camera: To capture and upload receipt photos
- Photo Library (iOS) / Storage (Android): To access photos and documents from your device
- Notifications: To send you warranty expiration alerts
These permissions are only used for the purpose of capturing, storing, and managing receipt images and sending relevant notifications.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL database) servers with the following security measures:
- All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS)
- Row-level security ensures only you can access your data
- Data is encrypted and protected against unauthorized or unlawful processing
- We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect against accidental loss, destruction, or damage
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With your explicit consent
- To comply with legal obligations or government requests
- To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
- With service providers who assist us in operating our app (under strict confidentiality agreements)
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage
- Expo for push notification delivery

6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Export your data
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings
6.1 Account Deletion & Data Removal
To delete your account and all associated data, you have two options:
Option 1: Delete via App (Recommended)
- Open WarrantyBox
- Tap the Settings tab (bottom navigation)
- Scroll to the bottom
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Option 2: Delete via Email
Email us at izaline.studios@pm.me with your account email address and a request to delete your account.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, all of the following are permanently removed from our servers:
- Your account information (email, full name, phone number, country)
- All receipts and warranty information
- All photos and documents you uploaded
- User preferences (currency, language, notification settings)
- Push notification tokens
- Password reset codes
- Any feedback or support tickets associated with your account
What Gets Retained (if any)
- Deleted accounts may retain anonymized log data for up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention purposes
- No personal information is retained in these logs
Important Notes
- Permanent: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- Immediate: Deletion occurs immediately upon confirmation
- Complete: All associated data is removed from our active databases
- No Recovery: You will not be able to recover your account or data after deletion
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed from our active databases.
8. Children and Parental Responsibility
WarrantyBox is designed and marketed for adults managing receipts and warranties. While the app contains no content inherently harmful to children, we do not target marketing or features at children.
If children under 13 access the app under parental supervision, parents or guardians are responsible for:
- Monitoring their activity
- Ensuring data accuracy (children may inadvertently modify receipt or warranty information)
- Understanding that this app is not a children's app and contains adult-oriented financial data
We do not knowingly market the app to or collect information specifically from children, but we acknowledge parental discretion in allowing supervised access.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
